The purpose of this post is a call to Love. It is not a religious or a Christian post. It is a piece written about Jesus, who was persecuted and murdered by the religious and political authority of his day for speaking his heart, his message was a simple one and that was to love one another. Please note the attacks in this post that have come towards this same message, and ask yourself if Jesus was alive today, wandering the hills somewhere on this earth, homeless and living a simple life calling us to love, if he could or would be heard, and if the established “Church” of this time might find his same message today as threatening to them as it was to the Church and political establishment of his time 2000 years ago. This man Jesus of Nazareth died because he would not deny his love for everything and everyone, it’s as simple as that. If you do not believe this then study the Dead Sea Scrolls, the Gospel of Thomas that was removed from the Bible by The Roman Church during the Council of Nicea, the Nag Hammadi Library, the Gnostic Texts written by people who actually knew the historical Jesus of Nazareth, also please be aware that I hold a deep love and respect for Jesus, he has been my teacher for over 60 years.

Jesus was a man.

a man who taught us one simple truth and that truth is to love one another.

at the end of the day that was his message to “Love one another as I have loved you.”

in my life that has been his message to me.

to love.

so whether you call yourself a Christian, a Buddhist, a Muslim , a Hindu
an agnostic or an atheist, it really doesn’t matter.

but this is why Jesus lived and why some people say he died for us.

because there was a man named Jesus from Nazareth who was crucified because his message to Love was too threatening to the powers that opposed him.

and please remember that those powers that opposed him and killed him and his message to love, live only in our minds, in the mind.

so to all of you out there who profess to love and whether you believe in the historical Jesus or not, may you at least consider that the Kingdom of Heaven resides within you and that you can turn to love as Jesus did.

many accounts of Jesus’s death say that his final words were “Forgive them for they no not what they do.”, but in the ancient Aramaic texts and scrolls written by the eyewitness of his death it is said that his last words were, “It is accomplished.”

may you all accomplish in your life what Jesus asked us to do, and that was to love one another and yourself as he loved you.
